WELCOME TO
HI welcome back to blog. Today I will tell you how I made my own airline. Haha I'm just kidding. I made my own airline logos, and I'm very proud of them. I made the three original logos with an idea i had in my head for the longest time. Nothing project. was really challenging in this preWe needed to make logos for a fake business and of course, mentioned in the previous blog, I chose an airline. I loved everything about this unit because... well, design! Anyway here are the things that I made. These are my mediocre logos that may become something one day. So heres the one I liked the most. The name of my brand was Humming Bird Airlines. I like the ones where the text changed color to have contrast with the background and this is one of them. The Logo represents fast and cute, which is a very good idea for airlines. Honestly i don't know what I'm doing in this class. Well, I do know what I'm doing but most of the time I just have an idea and I go through with it. this Logo means almost everything to me. Please like it. I spent a lot of time revising it over 20 times.

Wow, new unit! Logo design is fun! (Help me) So we were supposed to make logo's for a fake brand, and guess what horrible idea I came up with?! I was like "Wow maybe I should do something unorthodox and what comes to my mind? An airline. So I have birds. Hummingbirds. They're fast and small right? Perfect. It wasn't. I had my idea clear in my head. Put it in 3 different versions and boom! Turns out I need 15. So I chose the ones in the lumpy circles.
IntroductionAlright, new summative! I made these two artworks for a color theory assignment! Very cool. I made the first one, the one with the gems, by making the shapes and using the slice tool to cut them up. Took me a little to figure it our but I got it all sorted out after a minute or two. I made the second one for another assignment. The one with the color palette was really cool, at first i made only 5 colors but then i realized: "Oh i need 15" Multiply 5 by 3, and BAM! 15. Ok goodbye. Adobe Color Color SchemesColor NamesWell, it was graphic design, and now it's typography. Typography is basically making the text say something about what it's trying to convey. We also learned about some design principles, which helped us make things look better. This was very useful because as you can see by my blog, I suck at design. We learned about Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity. Each type has a personality. Ever heard that before? Yeah, me neither. I guess it means that every font conveys something, like a mood. Yeah. I have low IQ. Here is the stuff I did! TYPEFACE COMPARISONOk, first assignment. I guess this was okay. We needed to use a bunch of phrases with different fonts. There was Serif with the feet things, Sans Serif which is just serif without the feet, Monospace which is the characters taking up the same space, Script which is handwriting, and Display which is decorative. The ones on the bottoms are the font names. That was fun. Word PortraitsSecond assignment. This one was fun. We needed to come up with a few words that accurately went good with the font... yeah. I'm so done with everything at this point.
The sequel to my first space related project is here. I present to you: SOME THING I MADE!!!! You have all heard of Gravit by now, but have you heard of, the PEN TOOL? The pen tool is a drawing tool in Gravit and can be used to make custom paths way easier. And by using the mask option, you can do unspeakable things! Like editing a dog into a hot dog, yourself into the mouth of yourself, and SO MUCH MORE! We have the next photoshop here, folks! WE were tasked with three challenges. To trace a bunch of superhero logos that were very much copyrighted, to mask a path with the penny to leave only the face of dear Lincoln, and finally, to create an image comprised of many photos. Behold. THE SECOND MAGNUM OPUS!!!!!!!! I think you know I have a deep spiritual connection with space by now. This image is everything in my mind going on at once. Fun!
Images used: Mercury Rocket Space telescope Moon Earth Hat Space Man Sun GAH! Enough with the vector artwork. Let's get technical... WITH CODE! For the past two days, I have been learning the ways of code. I have drawn literally every idea that has come to my mind (not many) with code. This is the MAGNUM-OPUS of my CODE! I have made a city apartment. But it means so much more. It represents the darkness of the world outside our homes, and how they provide a safe sanctum for us. How we turn away from going out into the horrible and darkness filled world... this is the City. A single person, looking out into the world from his safe apartment. Do you want to try out the course I took? Click this LINK! (It's not a Rickroll I promise) Code:
background(128, 128, 128); //building 1 fill(61, 61, 61); quad(104, 424, 294, 424, 400, 1, 1, 1); //windows fill(255, 234, 0); quad(18, 13, 107, 13, 123, 108, 41, 107); quad(124, 13, 215, 13, 220, 108, 138, 107); quad(258, 13, 299, 13, 296, 253, 241, 544); quad(342, 13, 299, 13, 274, 285, 257, 544); quad(170, 316, 225, 316, 221, 116, 139, 115); quad(90, 316, 156, 316, 124, 116, 44, 115); quad(93, 330, 158, 330, 239, 818, 173, 680); quad(225, 330, 172, 330, 244, 818, 235, 680); //human fill(0, 0, 0); ellipse(75, 60, 30, 30); quad(55, 107, 68, 63, 83, 67, 97, 107); I made a thing. I like space. Everyone likes space! Space is so big and full of nothing that I wanted to fill it with stuff. Like shapes. Birds don't have proper grammar. Sue me. This took like only 5 hours in total. I'm proud of this thing.
So, I just made some art that summarizes the characters for my you-tube, but I made them in different styles.
Who would've thought that I could learn so. much about layers and yet still not know anything about them? If that doesn't make sense, consult your nearest doctor. Anyways, I learned about onion- I mean layers. And I played around with them in this digital worksheet I dowloaded off a shady website.
